Radio 2DU began broadcasting on Friday 3rd July 1936. In November 1987, 2DU was acquired by Broadcast Operations. In May 1990, the station commenced 24-hour continuous transmission. 

When ZOO FM’s went to air in 1997, it was the first commercial FM station to launch in Dubbo
