Our Stations

2TM has been operating since 1935 and over the decades it has played a significant role in the development of Tamworth’s identity as the Country capital. The station was purchased on January 6, 1995 by Broadcast Operations. Originally broadcast on the 1287 AM band, on 16 June 2025 the frequency was switched over to FM and along with it, a new name, TMFM 95.5.

Sister station, 92.9FM joined the Tamworth airwaves on 1 May 1993 and became part of the Super Radio Network at the same time as 2TM.

Capital of Country

Tamworth is a modern, busy hub for a prosperous agricultural area that produces wool, dairy products, eggs, poultry, wheat, lucerne and honey.

Tamworth is also Australia's 'Country Music Capital', hosting the largest and longest country music festival in the southern hemisphere! The Tamworth Country Music Festival runs across 10 days in January every year and has done so since 1973.

The city is home to the Australian Country Hall of Fame and the Big Golden Guitar attraction.
